Romance Galore

I have been decorating for the Valentine season and made this sweet glittery heart to place on the shelf that sits on my newly shabbified hutch!!!  Love it, just so romantic.

I love all the romance that comes with Valentines Day don't you?  It's my chance to really fu-fu if you know what I mean.  I also reset my dining room table back into my beautiful antique rose dishes.
I think my dining room looks like a tea room which is one of my favorite things to do.  Going to a tea room with people I love is so much fun.
I made this sweet little heart hanging last year, but it looks great on my shelf this year.

My Mom, Tammy my daughter and I had a craft day one time and we made these sweet little hangings with the lace around it.  SWEET!!
Hope you have a great week.  I am linking to Pink Saturday!!

Shabby Buffet Makeover

Hello friends, first I want to thank you for directing me to Google Chrome, now I can download my pictures with no problems, you were a life saver!!!

Recently I purchased this cute little buffet from my local antique store with the mindset that someday I would shabby it up.  I already possess a larger buffet that is natural wood and would never think about painting it as it was my Grandmothers buffet and has the most beautiful wood, but wanted one to shabby, so here it is.

Do you ever get the feeling, "oh no, what have I done?"  Well this is where I had that feeling, but upward and onward I go.  Kind of like this look, kind of distressed, I plan to do that later on the finished product.

I just love the ornate pieces on this buffet, I'm guessing they were added on later!
Okay, think I'm done for now, will distress it later.  But for now, I just want to enjoy the change.
I am in Shabby love!!!
Well, with the Valentine decor, I think it is perfect, I know I will change it a million times before I get it just right, but am loving it now.   (I can't believe I was struggling with my photos for so long, LOVE this Google Chrome, thank you, thank you!)

Daughters New Bed & Breakfast

Hi friends!!  This morning I spent 30 minutes taking pictures and tried to post them but Blogger is being contrary and won't give me a browse button!!

So instead of posting my after Christmas decor, I will tell you about my daughter and son in laws new endeavor.  They are working on an amazing Bed and Breakfast in Enid, Okla where we live.  They purchased a 3 story  vintage home and they are having some carpentry work done now, but hope to be open somewhere around mid March!  It will be beautiful, I wish I could post pictures to show you, but you can go to their Facebook page under Southard House Bed and Breakfast Inn or they have a blog at Southardhouse.blogspot.com.  If you want to go to the web page, it is at www.southardhouse.com

We are very excited for Tammy and James and hope they are successful at their new venture.  They are putting their faith in God to make this work and with Tammy's many talents of entertaining and James' business knowledge I don't think there is any question it will be a big hit in our city.

Please check them out and give them some encouragement!!  Hope to be able to put some of my pics up soon.
