Summer Eye Candy

Just wanted to show some pieces of my home, I have made it into the comfortable, shabby chic cottage I had dreamed of.  This fall we plan to do some renovations, especially on the kitchen.
When I go to estate sales or garage sales I always look for antique tablecloths, I love to layer the ones with beautiful lace work on my tables.
I am so happy with my home now, it used to be dark paneling and all walnut wood, now it is cheery and beautiful, at least I think so!!!
I also collect beautiful rose dishes and keep my dining room table set for a tea party.
And finally this is my patio with my crepe myrtle all in bloom, so beautiful even though we are in a drought this year.
Hope everyone had a wonderful week and enjoyed showing you some of my favorite things.

My Creative Space

Welcome to where I create.  I am joining in on the fun on the 4th Annual Where Bloggers Create hosted each year by Karen Valentine of My Desert Cottage.  Be sure to visit all the other beautiful spaces, so much inspiration.
I am showing you the main highlights of my space, even though my room is small, I have a lot of storage and a lot of inspiration everywhere as you can see.  If its not out in my sight its not inspirational to me, I love all the bling and pink.  It is an "it is what it is" room.
The  table is almost always active with some sort of craft
I love sewing, paper crafts, painting, making mini scrapbooks and any other craft you can imagine.  That is where I find my peace.  I am so blessed to have the opportunity through our blogs to see what others with the same interests do and I have made many friends through the blogs.

I keep some of my buttons and different findings in this spice rack, I have labeled folders of my ephemra and organized by holiday, birthday, girls, etc.and the cheese shaker you see is full of glitter.  Who knew!!!  The little white suitcase with roses I painted on it holds my most precious momentos from some of you that included little notes of thank you from treasures I have ordered and cards from my bloggy friends.  I hope you all have a wonderful time blog hopping this weekend, we have a lot to see!!

Bag full of Ruffles

Happy Pink Saturday ladies.  Wanted to show you my latest endeavor.  This bag is so cute and all I did was buy a plain canvas bag at Hobby Lobby and add ruffles and lace to it and made a rosette for the handle.
This would be a good bag for any occassion.  It has two pockets in the front, great for your phone.  I used fabric glue instead of sewing the ruffles and lace and added three buttons on the top edge of the pockets.  I think it turned out pretty cute and will probably make some more.  What do you think?  I am listing this bag on my Etsy.  The link is on my sidebar.

I am linking with Pink Saturday and Show and Tell Friday.  The links are on my sidebar.  Have a wonderful, COOL, weekend.
